TOYOTA MOTOR CORPORATION unveiled the novel FT-CH compact hybrid concept car on 11 January at the 2010 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The FT-CH (Future Toyota Compact Hybrid), with a petrol-electric hybrid system, is a study in the design and development of a small vehicle that offers both the environmental performance of a hybrid-driven system, yet simultaneously offers driving fun in this segment of the vehicle market. On the outside, the FT-CH’s triangular silhouette represents the latest in aerodynamics theory-based airflow management, and, on the inside, the refinement testifies to the importance placed on personal space.
